What is Software Development?

Software Development focuses on the "development" or actual programming (coding) of websites and mobile apps. There are many aspects and areas to software development - some of them include web development, full stack web development, mobile development, backend development, and more.

The Track

Our Software Development track includes 6 phases over 26 weeks, to teach moms and women like you some of the most important skills we believe are crucial for software development roles today.

Students will also learn various skills that will help them prepare for their dream career as a stay at home mom and freelance developer and the skills needed to be successful in that process.

6 Phase Curriculum

1. HTML/CSS

2. Javascript

4. Backend (including No-Sql Database)

5. Flutter (Mobile)

6. Final Project

I've been in tech roles since 2011! I have been a Software Engineer, Professor of Computer Science, and an Engineering Manager. Every role has been fulfilling in different ways, but I never really found a spot that felt right for me.

When I was about to have my son, I had a leader tell me to wait to figure out my next step because everything would change.

I didn't believe him, but he was SO right! Everything did change!

I realized I wanted to live my priorities in a new way.

I have discovered that one of the biggest secrets to finding joy, purpose, and fulfillment in our lives is getting aligned with our values and priorities and then LIVING them!!

Except it's much harder than I thought it would be. I love teaching software development as one way to help others do that!
