What is UX Design?

User Experience (UX) Design focuses on making websites and apps easy to use, enjoyable, and accessible for users. It is more than just the visual look and feel - but also how to make the most usable interface to support the users experience to accomplish what they are trying to do in a simple, beautiful, and accesible way.

The Track

The UX design track includes 6 phases over 26 weeks, that take moms and women like you through the design process - research, ideation, design, testing and iteration. This will provide them with a foundational understanding of UX best practices and ample opportunities to apply their learnings throughout the course of the program.

Students will also learn various skills that will help them prepare for their dream career as a stay at home mom and freelance UX designer - with an online portfolio to support the job search.

UX DESIGN TRACK INSTRUCTOR

I spent the first 10 years of my career as a User Experience Designer, working on educational and e-commerce websites, software and enterprise apps.

After becoming a mom, I looked around and realized that there were very few corporate opportunities for women who couldn’t meet the demands of a 40-hour work week. I created Indigo UX Studio with the dream of helping as many moms as possible get access to flexible, freelance work.

I strongly believe that when women take time to cultivate their own interests, they are happier moms. Wherever you are in your motherhood journey, I want to help you learn a marketable skill in a high-demand field.
